A Little About Me

I’m Steve with Martin County Fitness. I'm a Certified Personal Trainer in Martin County, Florida. I bring with me all the in-depth knowledge and extensive training ACSM provides. Most importantly, I’ve been working out over 40 years myself. As a result, I've learned a few things along the way. Need I say more?! No, but I will. Personal Trainer For Boomers

Track Your Workouts On Your Laptop And Mobile

With either the In-Person 1:1 Training or the Online Training options below, you will have access to your Workout Programs on your laptop, tablet, and phone. Firstly, you can login to see the workouts I have created for you. Secondly, as we do each workout, I will enter your reps and weight. Thirdly, you can click on a workout and see your stats from the last workout, click on an exercise and see what you have done every previous time you have done that exercise, and you can look back as far as you like to see how far you’ve come! Moreover, you can enter your own stats during each workout, if you like, or just let me take care of everything! Pretty cool stuff!

ACSM Credentials

ACSM is the Gold Standard in training certifications. The exam has a 54% pass rate. It is the hardest certification to obtain as it is the best! Rather than going for one of the easier certifications, know that ACSM Trainers put the time & effort in, and have the most knowledge and best training, to get you where you want to be! Choosing a Certified Personal Trainer is an important step for you! Keep in mind the certification he/she holds is definitely important. All trainers are NOT created equal! More ACSM info below.

Why I Should Be Your Personal Trainer

Wait, what? You need more? OK, although many people approach Personal Trainers ready and willing to make significant changes, quite often the challenges of actual behavior change prevent them from being successful long term. They eventually fall back into old habits. To change things in your life, you need to change your habits. Our bodies are designed to function as a balanced system. Along with highly effective training techniques & workouts; nutrition, lifestyle, attitude, and behavior changes all need to be worked on as well. Fitness is about making lifestyle changes that improve not only your physical state, but mental and emotional states as well. In conclusion, I WILL get you where you need to be!

Individualized Workout Programs

Each person is unique. There is no "one size fits all" here. You will not get a blanket program from me. Your program will be based on your own goals and ambitions, it will be closely monitored, and it will be adjusted as needed to make sure we stay on track. I'm not going to "fix" you. It's my job to help you fix yourself! I'm the expert in physical fitness, you are the expert in yourself. Just know it doesn't take a lot of money, expensive equipment, or even a gym membership to get this done. The biggest hurdles most face are motivation, accountability, and the right workouts to get there. How do you fix that? Scroll up a bit...you're looking at him! Personal Training

One on One (1:1) all In-Person workouts. 3 to 5 days a week is recommended but we will come up with a plan together based on your schedule. Up to 1 hour sessions. If preferred, some of the workouts can be done on your own after 3 or 4 weeks. Your Individualized Workout Plans, Goal Setting, Nutrition - adhering to Macros I will set up for you, Tracking Your Workouts with access to them anytime, and Me are all included! Below is a detailed list. The Macros Tracking does require you to buy the Pro version of My Macros+, which is the same app I use every day. This is $19.99 a year but my clients get 30% off, so you pay $13.99 for a year. Let's get to it! Motivation Provided!!

Workout Plans

The right exercise program is where it all starts! Maybe you have already been working out a while, by yourself or with a workout partner, and you don't really want a Trainer. You're good by yourself and you like it that way. But maybe you are currently in a slump, progress is slow - or worse...has even stopped - you are starting to lack motivation and even skipping workouts. Let me design a workout program for you and get you back on track! After we discuss your goals, I'll email you workouts every week for 6 weeks. You will have a textual explanation for each exercise, the number of sets, the rep range, the amount of rest in between sets, and a table to write in the reps and weight used. Motivation & Progress Restored!!

Online Training

Not local to the South Florida area? Or not too crazy about in-person training just yet? Maybe you are looking for a more affordable option? Then Online Training is the way to go. Tracking Your Workouts with access to them is included, so I'll see your progression every day. This one will require you to enter your own stats for each workout as you will do these on your own. You will have your full workouts right on your screen...just enter your reps and weight for each set. Every exercise has 2 videos to choose - "Full Video" or "Short Loop". Full lasts 20-30 seconds verbally and visually showing you how to perform the exercise. Loop lasts 4-5 seconds and only shows you the action of the exercise. I'll provide suggestions and answers as much as you need.

Consultation

Let's rap! The free consultation can be done in-person, by phone, or online. This is where we get to know each other and I learn what your goals are, your past exercise experience, and health issues (if any). To Book a Consultation - just scroll to the Calendar below, pick a date and time, then choose the "Free Consultation". I will then send you an email containing 4 forms (Health History, New Client Info). There is no obligation at this point. It's simply better for both of us to have these completed forms before the Consultation so I can review them.

Packages

So here's the part where we talk about...money! Never underestimate the investment you make in yourself! Catchy? Sure! But I stole it! OK, the 1:1 Personal Training Package below requires, to get started NEW, the Assessment (first) and then 2 training sessions - $195 as a package. For future sessions, the following options are available: - Book by the single session at $68 per 1 hour session. - 5 sessions for $325 ------ $15.00 Savings. - 10 sessions for $615 ----- $65.00 Savings. - 20 sessions for $1,155 --- $205.00 Savings. I highly recommend at least 2 sessions per week with me for In Person Training. 3, 4, or 5 sessions a week are better - especially in the beginning. Some workouts can be done on your own later, if you prefer. Regardless, your sessions are yours and they can be used at your discretion. One of the 4 options above work for a lot of people. But if you really want to "get at it", make a true 18 week commitment, 5 full workouts each week, 90 total workouts - then one of these Programs below might be right for you. These 3 are available as Online Training (see above) at $1,800.00 OR 1:1 In Person at $4,896.00 for the full 18 weeks. - FLT -> Focuses on fat loss while retaining muscle, building more muscle, and endurance ("toning" - muscular definition). Lose 15 - 20 lbs. - Resistance/HICT -> Building muscle size, gaining strength, increasing power, muscular endurance. Burning fat while you sleep! - CRF/Resistance -> Cardiorespiratory Fitness 3 times a week along with Resistance Training the other 2 days. Get your resting heart rate down and your lean body mass up. Work on successful aging!
